I am in the process of becoming an In-Network provider for Healthchoice. If you have a different insurance, I can provide a superbill for you to seek reimbursement from your insurance. I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to inquire about Out of Network benefits to ensure you have coverage and about the process of seeking reimbursement.

The length of therapy is very dependent on your unique situation. Some people have found what they need in as short as 1-2 sessions while others may engage consistently for several months. This discrepancy may be due to varying complexity of goals and different depth of needs. However, it is your therapy. You have agency over the length and intensity.

Therapy can initially be scary and a bit awkward because you are just meeting someone. Over time, it becomes more comfortable as we develop trust and safety. I work to develop those qualities in our working relationship by assuming that you are doing the best you can with what you have and that you are capable of change and success.

There may be times I provide you something to practice in between sessions to help you reach your goals but primarily be yourself, your whole self. It can be normal to worry how someone may respond to our thoughts, experiences, and emotions but I am here to help and support you. I can only support the parts of you that you bring to therapy.

I primarily expect honesty from my clients but that doesn't mean being an open book. I respect your privacy and would like you to communicate if we are talking about something you don't want to discuss. I also ask for feedback at the end of every session and I expect you to be honest so that I can tailor our time together to best benefit you.
